Dealers (AIAD) intends to promote the benefits
of artefact collecting and of the antiquities trade,

to help prevent fraud and the circulation of forgeries.
A member of the Executive committee of the Association of International Antiquities Dealers is offering antiquities with noteworthy analogies suggests David Knell. The objects he picks out for comment have reportedly come from a variety of private collections, for example "The E. Morgan collection, London UK", "German collection, formed in the 1960s and 1970s" and "English private collection, acquired from a German collection of 1960s" or "the London art market" ("acquired in the 1990s" they can't touch you for it). One wonders what the 'grounding' and documentation of those collecting histories looks like, since the objects all seem types currently coming onto eBay etc. ("The Member agrees to maintain full and accurate records of relevant sales and purchases"). Who were these mysterious collectors and what else did they collect? My favourite is the "Luristan" bronze phallic monkey amulet for 650 dollars, what kind of monkey did they have in Bronze Age western Iran? Well-endowed ones it seems.
